WeMustSoTheyCan is not an organization, it’s not a church, it’s not even an NGO. So what is it? It’s just some friends trying to love people the way Jesus commanded us to. If that means giving a hungry man a piece of bread and fish then we strive to do that. If it means getting on our knees and praying for the sick then we do that. If it means giving an orphan a hug and giving up our careers to replace the family they lost then we do that. In all our efforts to meet peoples physical needs we strive to bring people the living water Jesus spoke of because what good is it to stop at satisfying a man’s thirst.

Winston Churchill once said “Somewhere along the way, we will have opportunities to advance ourselves or keep ourselves out of trouble by going along with something wrong or by being silent in the face of injustice.” I often wonder what it would look like if all people resisted the temptation to advance themselves and truly pour themselves out for the benefit of others. In my short time on earth I’ve observed a few things that really disgust me to the point of righteous anger. They are; the poor being neglected, the wastefulness of Americans, and people’s dreams to do amazing things for God being crippled by fear rendering them powerless.

The Bible says “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy." This scripture among others has inspired us to be doers instead of talkers. With the site we hope to document our journey as we bring hope to people. We invite you to follow along.
